Relaxation Tips

Exploring relaxation ways can help you look after yourself when you are stressed or worried. Relaxation might not make your problem go away but it can give you a mental break from the stressed feelings and help you focus. 🧘🏼‍♂️

Take a break💆🏽‍♀️
Step away from the thing that makes you stressed for a few minutes or your daily routine can help you get calmer. At this time, you might read a book, take a warm shower, try a new recipe or play with your pet.✨

Focus on your breathing🌬

  • Learning to breath deep can help you feel a lot calmer and you can do it anywhere.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Place your palm on your tummy; it should rise when you inhale and fall as you exhale. Try to keep your shoulders down and relaxed.💫
  • As you breathe, count. As you inhale, count to one, two, three, and four; as you exhale, count to one, two, three, and four. Try to determine your level of comfort. 🙌🏽

Try active relaxation techniques🧘🏼‍♂️
When we say relaxation, it does not always mean sitting still. Sometimes a gentle exercise can also help you relax. Such as:

  • Taking a walk🚶🏼‍♂️
  • Doing yoga, pilates or gentle stretching💆🏽‍♀️
  • Seated exercises👍🏼

Be creative:🧑🏽‍🎨
Try to find your creative side. Painting, drawing, baking, playing instruments or playing with clay can help you a lot. But do not focus on finishing it, just enjoy what you are doing!

Do social media detox📱
If you are a person that spends significant time on social media everyday, taking a break from it can help you a lot. Sometimes we lose the reality and think that everybody is having a great life and only we have problems. Don’t let social media distort your reality!

Spend time in nature🌳
Spending time in green places can be great for your physical and mental health. 💆🏽‍♀️

  • Take a walk in a park full of trees, flowers, plants and animals. It will help your mind to relax and realise the beauty of nature around you. 💫
  • Do gardening. Sometimes touching the earth can help you to get rid of the negative feelings!👨🏼‍🌾
