But on the inside they have new capabilities. The new implant design, called Siid, is a modular design meaning the different components (sensors, outputs, board and antenna) can all be easily exchanged between production generations. This means what we implant is no longer just a chip, it truly is a modular device with a multitude of potential functions. See the attached infographic for illustration.
